ADVANCED CERTIFICATION IN APPLIED NEUROSCIENCE: TEAM COACHING

More organizations and teams are realizing that while training and change facilitation are typically an important component of change in teams, transformation requires a different type of support which requires adding a coaching process. Team coaching done right is the missing link for transformation and change adoption in teams.

KCI has been certifying team coaches to use a comprehensive Advanced Applied Neuroscience methodology for more than a decade. An Advanced Applied Neuroscience Team Coaching approach is a comprehensive process that includes training and change facilitation aspects, but is an in-meeting coaching process at its core.

Supporting teams to adopt new ways of responding to Emotional Discomfort in real-time is a Game Changing approach.

Advanced Applied Neuroscience Team Coaching (AANTC) is an in-meeting transformation approach which focuses on using advanced applied neuroscience principles and focuses on Unlearning of less effective or dysfunctional response patterns to discomfort in teams.

Some of the guiding principles of AANTC include:

-
Seeing the team as a collective unit or as a living being.
-
Going beyond awareness, supporting collective sustainable change in the team by knowing how to tap into the transformation systems in the brain.
-
Providing teams with neuroscience-based skills for responding more effectively to emotional discomfort.
-
Focusing on memory re-consolidation, creating new experiences, engaging internal resistance and overcoming external resistance, and following the stages of the Unlearning-relearning process to create sustainable new default ways of thinking and responding (and everything else the Advanced Applied Neuroscience discipline is about).
-
Transformation in real time and in practice: coaching happens during regular team meetings.

When Do Teams Benefit From AANTC?
"I have known Reut for many years and have experienced her genius change acquisition process from several perspectives. I benefited from going through it personally and becoming a certified consultant has been incredibly impactful for my consulting business. Her approach works. Period. I have had clients tell me the experience has been life changing, providing clarity and focus in both their professional and personal lives. Businesses’ have been transformed, with greater success and profitability. Key employees find their super powers and become reinvigorated about their jobs and become quickly promoted.
Reut’s process, and learning how to apply it, is done at a deep level and is incredibly thorough. She makes sure you truly understand every aspect of the brain science of change and its application. And she’s always there for you, challenging you to push yourself further and to take on even the most resistant clients. I’ve never had so much joy as when I’m working with a client using this approach."

Team coaching is a very popular certification. We are often asked by coaches who wish to be certified as Advanced Applied Neuroscience Team Coach if it is possible to sign up directly for the team coaching certification.

The short answer is that at KCI we don't take this approach. We don't for 3 main reasons:

-
Advanced Applied Neuroscience Team Coaching requires you to master how to engage the transformation system in the brain. Doing so for the first time with 4-12 people in the room without prior experience of it on an individual level is not a good idea.

-
Teams may include non-coachable individuals. One or more people on the team may be non-coachable or the team leader may be. We feel it is critical for you to have mastery of how to navigate such situations before taking on the team coaching certification level.

-
Advanced Applied Neuroscience Team Coaching is intensive. You will need to observe, identify, and know how to navigate layers of information in real-time (not just tying team discussions and dynamics to desirable outcomes and behaviors, but identifying and exploring response patterns to emotional discomfort on the go). This can be quite demanding and it really helps to have an intuitive mastery of big chunks of this in preparation for supporting teams through such a process.

Finally (and ironically) while it is an extensive undertaking of time and energy to become a masterful Advanced Applied Neuroscience Team Coach, and while you will receive dedicated mentoring and practice throughout, the team level certification will be relatively short (compare the 10 month investment of the individual certification to the 6-8 weeks required for this level). This is because all previous certification levels will prepare you for this one, which also allows us to price this certification level accordingly.

"I am an organizational change consultant. I went looking for help after exhausting my proverbial toolbox. Learning from Reut has been simply transformational for me professionally and on a personal level.
Reut's knowledge of the neuroscience of change and her ability to apply it in practical terms to difficult change problems is unique and incredibly effective. She is an individual of tremendous intellectual strength and incisiveness. At the same time she has an incredible heart and an uncanny ability to tune in to people on an emotional level and feel and hear the things that they themselves don't realize are there.
My clients have achieved significant and impactful shifts in how they relate to themselves and to the world around them thanks to this program. I can't recommend Reut enough! You will not only learn how to facilitate your clients to achieve change you didn't know was possible, you will significantly grow as a coach and change facilitator!"
