BREAKTHROUGH PROGRAMS FOR EXPERIENCED COACHES

What is Advanced Applied Neuroscience?
As a discipline, Advanced Applied Neuroscience (AAN) combines mastery of three important topics:

-
The Neuroscience of Threat.
-
The Neuroscience of Emotion.
-
And the Neuroscience of Transformation.

When joined by your rich knowledge and experience as a coach, this unique combination of scientific know-how will allow you to support your coaching clients overcome some of the most difficult coaching challenges and access new breakthroughs.

Why Advanced Applied Neuroscience?
Learn new answers to: HOW can I support myself and others overcome THE most difficult transformation challenges?

Ask yourself:
What makes some transformation challenges more difficult than others in your experience?

Is it when coaching clients:

-
Understand, are highly reflective and self-aware, gain insight, but "stay in their heads" and struggle to change.

-
Genuinely want change but unconsciously experience the very change they want as a threat, resist touching any emotional discomfort (you may be wondering "how do I coach when touching on what they wish to work on threatens their internal safety system?").

-
Keep circling the same issue without being able to access a breakthrough (you know something deeper is at play but it is difficult to locate what it is exactly).

-
Resist acknowledging what they'd benefit from changing, flip flop about how they view things, or dive-in one day only to backpaddle and share they are fine the next time you meet.

As an experienced coach, you obviously know how to navigate many different aspects of transformation very well. Which challenges would you mark as the most difficult to overcome in coaching?

"I UNDERSTAND HUMAN NATURE IN A WAY I COULDN'T BEFORE..."
"As an experienced professional coach with 4 other coaching certifications, I've been shocked by the speed and life changing changes my clients have achieved as I've used the KCI (Key Change Institute) methodology..."

Specific Advanced Techniques

From an AAN perspective, the most difficult transformation challenges come up when something deeper is happening, making change more difficult for some clients than it has to be.

AAN marks two critical fronts of difficult transformation challenges:

-
We need to learn to see deep subconscious response patterns to emotional discomfort (these block us from achieving changes we genuinely desire).

-
We need to master how to engage the whole transformation system in the brain (developing awareness and insight is sometimes not enough) to bridge the gap between understanding and sustainable transformation.
AAN programs are designed to provide you with specific advanced techniques to overcome the most difficult coaching obstacles, and clear the way for your coaching clients to experience "WOW" breakthroughs.

As an experienced coach or change facilitator you've completed relevant certifications, degrees, or trainings (even other neuroscience-based ones). Would AAN courses provide your clients with any added value?

"As an Executive Coach, I was eager to delve into the intersection of neuroscience and coaching, and this course exceeded my expectations in every way."

What Is The Added Value?

AAN programs are NOT more of the same.

If you are looking for next-level mastery (specifically an in-depth understanding of how to use different neuroscience to support clients when change is difficult), AAN programs will teach you HOW to:

-
Rewire deep emotional response patterns to emotional discomfort (so coaching clients develop new subconscious default reactions which they feel better serve them).

-
Engage the whole transformation system in the brain (knowing when, why, and how to engage different parts of the brain to best support transformation) and support clients to overcome different types of resistance to change.

-
Bridge the gap between the narrating-self (specifically, self-sabotaging patterns) and the experiencing-self, so coaching clients get out of their own way.

-
Shift from talking ABOUT transformation, to adopting changes in a sustainable way.

Some deep patterns in the brain seem held in place with “superglue.” AAN provides the anti-adhesive that helps release them.

As a discipline, AAN is highly application-oriented and comprehensive. It is unique in scope, depth, and complexity.
After nearly two decades of training and certifying hundreds of experienced executive and life coaches, we can very honestly tell you, it requires effort and dedication, and it's not everyone's cup of tea. While KCI offers various course formats to accommodate different schedules, you should know that acquiring this more advanced level of expertise is not a walk in the park. AAN courses can be demanding and they may challenge some of your assumptions.

AAN programs will fundamentally change how you navigate resistance to change, and how you prevent, bypass, and overcome transformation obstacles, with a whole new understanding the brain in mind.

AAN programs do not repeat what you've already learned elsewhere as an experienced coach. While we obviously draw on your rich experience and knowledge, and while the learning requires open exploration and curiosity (you'll be expected to access deep levels reflection and vulnerability), AAN programs are designed for experienced coaches for a reason.

Distinguishes You As an Expert

To understand what makes AAN programs unique, it helps to distinguish between 3 important neuroscience terms:

-
Neuroplasticity: An umbrella term for the brain's ability to change neurosynaptic pathways (this can happen as a result of various reasons including different types of learning and forgetting).

-
Memory reconsolidation: A specific subgroup of neuroplasticity which allows us to understand how to alter past experience-based memories (includes habitual patterns in the brain such as eating habits or time management habits).

-
Unlearning: A specific subgroup within memory reconsolidation related to patterns which are some of the hardest to change (ones reinforced by numerous, emotional + threat-related links, which are like a "superglue" combo for patterns in the brain).

AAN is designed for experienced coaches and change facilitators who want to master a higher level of expertise: how to support deep unlearning by rewiring response patterns to emotional discomfort (which are some of the most difficult patterns to change in the brain).

Which Programs Should I Consider?

KCI offers a variety of AAN

Most experienced coaches who choose to sign up for AAN programs are:

-
Experienced coaches and change facilitators (often with relevant higher degrees or certifications by ICF, CTI, CCE, ACMP, and similar organizations).

-
Already familiar with relevant traditional individual coaching or team coaching models (often also with mastery of other neuroscience-based models.

-
May or may not have background in neuroscience: past participants range from having a PhD in neuroscience to having no background in neuroscience at all. The program will provide you with everything you need to know about how the brain works in the specific context of change adoption and transformation.

"LOVED THE DEPTH AND DISCOVERY"
"As an NLP Master Coach & Designated NLP Trainer, I am always seeking to learn more about how our brain works and what causes people to respond and behave the way they do, especially in difficult and challenging situations...I have been able to immediately apply these concepts into my coaching services."

Will I Benefit From AAN Programs?
You know yourself best!
While the time investment in AAN programs can be very flexible and easily doable (based on the program and format you choose), and while all KCI programs are designed in a way that promotes intuitive learning (so very little "academic" or "forced" learning is necessary) - as advanced programs, you can expect the level of rigor to be fairly high.
If this level of in-depth mastery sounds daunting rather than exciting, AAN programs may not be right for you.

The upside of this rigor is a new level of expertise. You'll have an in-depth, intuitive understanding of how to truly use hard-core science to support your coaching clients in ways you did not have access to before. The downside of rigor is that it requires vulnerability, an openness to questioning your assumptions, and a greater commitment to focusing on continuous learning, stretching yourself professionally, and what you may not already know - than to being invested in focusing on what you already do know.
You tell us, will you love AAN courses?

"A VALUABLE TOOLKIT"
"I've attended numerous courses in the past and I've often found them to be overly theoretical and/or lacking in practical application and challenge. KCI’s advanced foundations in applied neuroscience did not disappoint...Reut was expertly able to take every and any question, and demonstrate how neuroscience can be applied to real-world challenges...I would highly recommend this course!"

Questions?

We believe that there are many excellent programs out there and that the best approach is to give you all the information you need so you can make the decision that is right for you. If you have any questions about the AAN Foundations course at this point of your discovery journey, please don't hesitate to contact us or schedule a quick inquiry call below:

What Should I Know?

-
Cutting edge: The AAN Foundations program will provide you with advanced neuroscience techniques and models (specifically to support difficult aspects of change and transformation).

-
Coaching First: While KCI offers both individual AND team coaching certifications, from a Neuroscience POV all change starts with individuals in mind. If you do not coach individuals at all as part of your practice, although the principles of individual change obviously transfer to team coaching, you may find this program less relevant.

"WILL CHANGE YOUR WORLD!"
"After almost 17 years practicing as an ICF trained and certified coach and 12 years as a practicing Organizational Development practitioner...I didn't "get it" until I came to Reut at KCI. I thought I understood the neuroscientific principles of change but I was missing a key piece and now that I have access to advanced applied neuroscience, it's a whole different story."

How Can I Sign Up?

KCI offers 3 format options of the AAN Foundations course (different formats and price options to match your preference, needs, and availability).
The cohort option is particularly lovely if you enjoy:

-
Learning with the same group of people from start to finish.
-
Exploring where course materials meet the rich experience and knowledge of other highly experienced coaches.
-
AND if you have the time to keep up with the truly intensive pace of the content (technically it only takes 2-3 hours to go through the materials each week, however due to the cutting-edge and comprehensive nature of the content, most participants take a lot of notes - which realistically results in spending around 7 hours of independent study per week).
If you don't expect to have that much availability, but still prefer a group setting (or want to benefit from the ICF CCEU's this program offers), please consider the Self-Paced format.
Finally, if you prefer studying at your own pace, if you don't care for the cohort or group learning environment, and if you have no use for the ICF credit, please consider the Self-Study option instead.

With any questions about which format would work best for your schedule, please don't hesitate to reach out!

"DELIVERS MORE THAN YOU SIGN UP FOR!"
"Reut is a very powerful, kind, tough-minded and soft-hearted individual...She embodies "paying it forward"...If there's any doubt as to whether or not it's a smart or worthwhile investment hitching your wagon to Reut's star, please consider this your permission to dismiss that doubt straightaway!"
