The field of applied neuroscience offers three main types of programs (this program is advanced):

Most cohort members are:

This Advanced Foundations in Applied Neuroscience course is rare in that its primary focus is on HOW:

Modules 1-7: Will provide you with all the science you need in order to understand brain parts, brain systems, and brain processes. However, our main focus is on HOW to rewire the brain, HOW to facilitate transformation, and HOW to get people to unlearn. Not only what neuroplasticity IS, but more importantly, how do you as a coach navigate, facilitate, power, and empower neuroplasticity (and other critical aspects of transformation like resistance to change, which are critical to understand from a scientific perspective in this context).

Modules 8-12: Will incorporate all the Advanced Applied Neuroscience principles from modules 1-7 into a cohesive, practical methodology (we share the techniques we've been using at KCI for nearly two decades to illustrate one way all these principles can be applied).

Different aspects of difficult change, going beyond insight and awareness, and getting transformation to stick.

Engaging the Limbic Brain in general and other specific transformation parts in the brain in particular (supplementing the focus of traditional models on awareness and engaging the Prefrontal Cortex).

Breakthrough understanding of how to rewire the brain, the stages of an Unlearning-Relearning process (as well as clearly defined obstacles between stages, and how to overcome obstacles).

An in-depth understanding of how to engage resistance and overcome a wide range of less effective response patterns to discomfort.

Which Format Option is Right for You?

Cohort: You value the cohort experience and may wish to receive 30 ICF CCE units (for continued education or advanced accreditation PCC or MCC).
Self-Paced: You still value Q&A and group discussion or you may still want ICF CCE units, but you prefer flexibility in terms of your start date or pace.*
Independent-Study (self-study): You don't need ICF CCE units, you prefer independent studying, and you're happy with only 2 live 1-on-1 Q&A sessions.
