ADVANCED FOUNDATIONS IN APPLIED NEUROSCIENCE

Ready to learn how Advanced Applied Neuroscience supports transformation when insight and awareness are not enough?

When it comes to change and transformation, sometimes developing insight and awareness is not enough. This advanced program is designed to equip experienced coaches and change facilitators with breakthrough neuroscience know-how to support transformation when developing awareness and insight is not enough.

It focuses on the scientific building blocks of transformation and threads in Top 10 Neuroscience-based models, to give you specific, applicable tools and techniques.

Outline: Neuroscience of Transformation

  • Optimize external conditions for change.

  • Engage the Transformation Systems in the brain.

  • Facilitate shifts of strongly held beliefs and deep emotional patterns.

  • Guide people through stages of their internal transformation process.

  • Navigate the Unlearning-relearning process to rewire the brain.

  • Correctly identify, engage, and overcome resistance.

  • Provide accountability that results in greater client ownership.

  • Equip clients with Neuroscience-based Change-Readiness Skills.

  • Create sustainable change.

What does it mean to use advanced applied neuroscience to get beyond insight and awareness? It means knowing how to:

This highly application-oriented, intensive, cutting-edge, advanced small group program is not right for everyone. It is unique in scope, depth, and complexity because it:

  • Combines critical Neuroscience research with application: Learning in-depth about brain parts and systems which support transformation (like the Hippocampus, Amygdala, BNST, Insula, and Anterior Cingulate Cortex, just to name a few) and HOW to use this scientific knowledge to support transformation in a clear, applicable, and concise way.

  • Covers more than just one or two neuroscience-based models: Rather than focus on a specific model, it focuses on everything you need to learn to support different aspects of transformation (combining several different models needed).

  • Focuses on coaching: From a Neuroscience POV all change starts with individuals in mind (KCI offers additional program levels for team development and organizational change but an in-depth understanding of transformation at the individual level is always a prerequisite).

  • Designed for experienced coaches and change facilitators: Focusing on getting beyond awareness and on how to use neuroscience to guide and support people through the most difficult aspects of transformation.

"I went looking for help after exhausting my proverbial toolbox. Learning from Reut has been simply transformational...My clients have achieved significant and impactful shifts in how they relate to themselves and to the world around them thanks to this program."

This program is not more of the same. Past participants will tell you that this program will provide you with new breakthrough techniques. This is true even if you are highly experienced and have studied many other programs already (including other neuroscience-based programs!). It will supplement and enhance your rich knowledge and experience, allow you to understand resistance to change in ways you never did before, and show you how to intentionally facilitate transformation from the inside (know which brain parts to engage for which purpose and how to engage each part). It will enhance your ability to make a tremendously positive impact when change is difficult, in ways you didn't have access to before.

It is worth noting that since this program is designed for advanced learners, it does not repeat coaching and change facilitation practices covered by other programs (we assume you have already mastered those in the past!). With that in mind, you should expect that this program may challenge some of your assumptions about coaching and change facilitation (for an in-depth view of the program's curriculum by module click here)

While we will draw on your rich experience and knowledge, the learning will require open exploration and curiosity, and cohort members are often asked to have deep levels reflection and vulnerability.

Positions You As an Expert

Focus on Application

Since this program focuses on the science of transformation, it applies to numerous change areas such as:

Effective communication, resilience, empathy, conflict resolution, psychological safety, racism and other DEI&B related topics, as well as to improvement areas like empowerment, curiosity and creativity, decision-making, and growth-mindset

Why Is This Program Considered Advanced?

The field of applied neuroscience offers three main types of programs (this program is advanced):

  • Descriptive: Sharing the science itself and describing how things work in the brain.

  • Traditional: Highlighting where neuroscience supports the way we do things when we use traditional coaching and change facilitation models.

  • Advanced: Using new scientific findings to supplement traditional models. The main focus of programs in this category is to ask "how do we use new scientific research (not yet included in the context of traditional programs) to support transformation?"

  • Are you an experienced coach or change facilitator?

  • Are you curious about advanced neuroscience models and how to support your clients beyond developing insight and awareness?

  • Do you enjoy continuously learning, refining, and expanding your expertise to better support your clients?

Your cohort will include coaches and change facilitators who already have other relevant certifications, sufficient experience, and in many cases relevant advanced degrees and expertise (sometimes also education in neuroscience, although you do not need any previous background in neuroscience!). Most cohort members are:

  • Experienced coaches and change facilitators (often with relevant higher degrees or certifications by ICF, CTI, CCE, ACMP, and similar organizations).

  • Already familiar with traditional coaching and change models and are interested in supplementing their existing knowledge with the Neuroscience of Transformation (focusing on difficult change, going beyond awareness, and how to get people to adopt change in a sustainable way).

  • May or may not have background in neuroscience. Although prior neuroscience knowledge is always great and many past cohort members have completed other neuroscience-related programs (some even have higher degrees in neuroscience), there is absolutely no need for any prior knowledge about the brain in order to join this program. The program will provide you with everything you need to know about the way the brain works (in the specific context of change adoption and transformation): starting from the most basic knowledge all the way to the most in depth relevant research.

Curriculum

This program is designed with how the brain works in mind. To give you the best access to this cutting-edge content, materials are organized in a spiral-like design (introducing all concepts up front and then revisiting them and their applications as we go).

For an in-depth view of the program's curriculum by module click here.

You can expect this program to focus on:

  • Engaging the Limbic Brain in general and other specific transformation parts in the brain in particular (supplementing the focus of traditional models on awareness and engaging the Prefrontal Cortex).

  • An in-depth understanding of how to overcome a wide range of less effective response patterns to discomfort.

  • Breakthrough understanding of how to rewire the brain, the stages of an Unlearning-Relearning process (as well as clearly defined obstacles between stages, and how to overcome obstacles).

  • A review of highly effective Neuriscience-based skills, including a detailed description of 16 specific skills, most still quite unfamiliar to most experienced coaches and change facilitators.

  • Focusing heavily on aspects of difficult change, going beyond insight and awareness, and getting transformation to stick.

This is a hige-value program. It is comprehensive, intensive, and focused on providing you with the most advanced knowledge about neuroscience-based models, techniques, and tools. â€‹However, please note that while this program is highly application-oriented, it is not a certification program in the sense that you will not be coached or mentored to use models and techniques (there simply isn't enough time to cover all the knowledge we need to share with you and practice it as well).
