ADVANCED CERTIFICATION IN APPLIED NEUROSCIENCE: NON-COACHABLE INDIVIDUAL
"Non-coachable" individuals CAN transform. They may (at first) be unwilling or unable to be vulnerable which requires A Different Model.
This 8-week certification is designed to support them and make a difference in this context.
People have many good reasons to avoid being vulnerable. They may feel unheard, ignored, dismissed, or threatened and may have very real reasons to feel they can't trust others.

However, it is important to understand that for some people, lack of vulnerability has nothing to do with dynamics in the present (the source is related to their own response patterns to discomfort due to past experiences and can not be resolved merely with efforts to build rapport and trust).
They are unwilling or unable to tap into vulnerability (at least at first) and will opt to deflect, dismiss, blame others or the circumstances, do everything to avoid collaborating with coaching, or even shift into more aggressive behaviors. In those cases, traditional coaching models which depend on reflection and some degree of self-accountability will often hit a wall.

This certification will provide you with an Advanced Applied Neuroscience coaching models to support these clients and provide them with the skills and a highly effective (firm but loving and empowering) accountability structure, so they can shift into vulnerability and shift into becoming coachable.
"...after exhausting my proverbial toolbox on a client who not only strongly resisted but refused outright to participate in the organizational change effort I was implementing at the time. Reut's website was the only one from the dozens I had looked at that asserted that non-coachable people CAN be facilitated to change! I immediately enrolled in all levels of her program that certifies coaches to facilitate individuals, teams and organizations through difficult change.
Working with and learning from Reut has been simply transformational for me professionally and on a personal level. She is an individual of tremendous intellectual strength and incisiveness. At the same time she has an incredible heart and an uncanny ability to tune in to people on an emotional level and feel and hear the things that they themselves don't realize are there. Reut's knowledge of the neuroscience of change and her ability to apply it in practical terms to difficult change problems is unique and incredibly effective."

At KCI, we have 70% success rate in supporting non-coachable clients through transformation. We find that while interactions with these individuals can result in a great deal of hurt and frustration for those around them, in many cases they themselves suffer from isolation and other very painful emotions like shame (even if they won't admit any of it and build what may seem like an impenetrable wall around them).
Unfortunately, traditional coaching models are often not a good fit for this specific type of difficult change challenge. A different model is needed. Using this different model allows non-coachable individuals to be transformed in a sustainable way and in our experience, the relief and gratitude these clients experience is extremely rewarding and often results in them becoming our biggest fans and sources of referrals.

Non-coachable individuals tend to be:
-
Stuck, detached, or stubborn.

Abrasive.

Grandiose.
-
Unwilling to take responsibility or refuse to be held accountable.
-
Unable or unwilling to be vulnerable (not just with you as a coach, but in general).

This certification will provide you with an Advanced Applied Neuroscience model for supporting this particular type of difficult change challenge (hint: this model requires us to simultaneously support the transformation of those who need to hold non-coachable individuals accountable in their roles or in their lives ).

To best support non-coachable individuals through the initial stages of transformation (during the time they are blocking themselves and the coaching process from accessing their vulnerability) we need to set up a coaching model that includes what we refer to as an "accountability partner."

This level of certification will take you through 8 modules including an in depth understanding of non-coachable individuals, the different presence you'll need to bring as a coach to best support them from an Advanced Applied Neuroscience perspective, and how to bring in their accountability partner to dramatically increase their chances of successfully transforming in a sustainable way.
