AANC Certification: Build In-Practice Mastery
Advanced Applied Neuroscience (AAN) focuses on an often invisible layer of transformation.Certification is the mentored practicum path for coaches who have already completed AAN Foundations.

If you have completed the Foundations course, gaining a certification as an Advanced Applied Neuroscience Coach (AANC) means to master this new discipline in practice.
Being certified as an AANC develops your ability to identify learned patterns and support unlearning and relearning in real coaching work. The practicum design allows you to apply AAN to your own goals and then coach an initial client with one to one mentoring and feedback.

Certification Options
KCI offers a few specialized certification tracks:
Goal-Setting
Coachable
"Non-Coachable"
Team Coaching
Goal Setting: Master when to engage the prefrontal cortex (PFC) and when to invite input from the Limbic Brain to bypass what coaching clients believe they should want and allow them to revisit what they believe about themselves and the world around them outside their awareness ($3,750 USD + 3% if using CC). Includes two practicum parts as described below. Approximately 3 months long.
Coachable Individual: Includes the above goal-setting certification and three additional months of Advanced Applied Neuroscience Coaching illustration, as well as learning to use a panel of neuroscience-based online assessments to identify which Change-Readiness Skill is worth exploring ($6,750 USD + 3% if using CC). Includes two practicum parts as described below. Approximately 10 months long.
"Non-coachable" Individual: Please note that this certification does not suggest any individual is not coachable. At KCI, we use this term to indicate a need to use a different coaching model (not a traditional coaching model). This certification builds on the coachable certification adding variations, specifically around how to create an effective accountability structure when coaching clients are unwilling or unable to engage with sufficient vulnerability (it is worth knowing that most "non-coachable" clients we work with become "coachable" after working with this approach ($2,750 USD + 3% if using CC). Approximately 3 months long.
Team coaching: AAN views teams as an organism and in many ways, AAN team coaching is closest to systemic team coaching, except that AAN focuses on the team unlearning and relearning deep response patterns to emotional discomfort. This certification requires completing all previous certification layers ($3,750 USD + 3% if using CC). Approximately 4 months long.

How It Works
AAN certification programs are designed as dedicated two-part practicum processes.

Practicum Part 1: Defining your own unlearning goals, completing assessments, and adopting a change-readiness skill for your own transformation first (we believe you can't guide someone else through a path you never walked yourself).

Practicum Part 2: Coaching an initial client through the same discovery-and-transformation process, with your Certifying Partner mentoring you 1-on-1 in real time (behind the scenes).
Practicums are 100% application-oriented. You'll learn by doing. First by undergoing an AAN coaching yourself, and then by coaching a client under mentoring.
