ADVANCED FOUNDATIONS IN APPLIED NEUROSCIENCE: SELF-PACED OPTIONS

What is Advanced Foundations in Applied Neuroscience?

This program equips coaches and change facilitators with advanced neuroscience know-how to support transformation when developing awareness and insight is not enough.

If you are not yet familiar with the full cohort-based Advanced Foundations in Applied Neuroscience program: please click here or check out the FOUNDATIONS tab in the main menu, then please come back to this page to explore the self-paced options.

We are testing out this new format (same brilliant program, new drop-in format, more options, and more flexibility) - offering an incredible discount to honor those who are willing to experiment with us.

What Is The Self-Paced Format?

In one word: Flexibility.

This is the exact same program as the Advanced Foundations in Applied Neuroscience program. The same high quality content, same materials, same valuable discussions, and plenty of live interactions with faculty and other students, but in a self-paced format.

Why This Format?

There are obvious benefits for studying with a consistent cohort. However, we've noticed that for some people, the cohort experience is less of a priority and they really appreciate more flexibility: being able to start when it works with your schedule and attending sessions at your own learning pace. This format is all about flexibility.

How Does It Work?

  • Start anytime: While the full cohort format of this program is only offered twice a year (typically in April and October), you can pick one of the self-paced options to start anytime.

  • Study at your own pace: Engage with the online self-study modules based on your learning style and preferences.

  • Attend live sessions with complete flexibility: Join live Q&A/discussion/application sessions when you have questions, wish to discuss applications, and based on your progress and availability.

  • Bonus 1-on-1 Q&A session: In addition to participating in the above live sessions, take advantage of a dedicated 1-on-1 session with a KCI Certifying Partner. Use this bonus to explore specific applications which are relevant to your work in more depth (can be used at any point during the program).

What Do You Need to Know?

This program covers the same high-value, high-quality materials included in the 12 sessions of the Advanced Foundations in Applied Neuroscience program.

However, unlike the more structured format of the cohort-based program, this format allows you to join live Q&A/discussion application sessions based on your availability and progress. The live "drop-in" Q&A/discussion application sessions are:

  • Held multiple time a month: Typically offered weekly or by-weekly.

  • Accommodates different time zones and schedules: Multiple sessions are available based on your time zone and availability.

  • Highly application-oriented (if your questions require an elaborate exploration of a specific case study, we may invite you to schedule your free 1-on-1 bonus session).

  • 90 minute long and based on participants' progress (please see more details in the schedule section below).

  • Recorded and available for your review. A minimum engagement in 12 sessions is required to qualify for ICF CCE credit (of which a minimum attendance of 6 live sessions is required).

Cost

KCI's Advanced Foundations in Applied Neuroscience and Advanced Certification in Applied Neuroscience programs are well established courses. For the past 17 years, KCI trained and certified hundreds of coaches and change facilitators who prefer a cohort experience. There are clear benefits to a continuous discussion with a consistent cohort that progresses through the material at a similar pace.

That said, the world is constantly changing, our students have been asking for more flexibility, and we always strive to provide you with the best learning experience possible! So here we are...and while we are learning and "debugging" this new self-paced format of the program, we are offering highly discounted rates.

How Can I Sign Up?

Since this is a self-paced option, you can start at any time. However, in order to insure Q&A discussion sessions maintain a small group setting (so you can have all your questions answered) this option is still limited in capacity. Schedule

The self-paced format is designed to give you maximum flexibility. You can pick your own start date and attend live Q&A/discussion sessions based on your availability and progress.

Live Sessions: Schedule

To plan your schedule, check out the different options of live sessions.

While exploring modules 1-3 please pick an option from this category

Once you've attended at least one Starter Session please choose the time option that works best for you from this category.

Step 1: Sign up and start exploring online materials

This program offers groundbreaking knowledge and insight into the meeting point of advanced neuroscience and coaching (with extensive applications for change facilitation in general). Start by immersing yourself in the materials, preferably completing modules 1 and 2 of the online materials prior to attending a live session (you can find the full curriculum here).

Step 2: Pick the time for your Starter Session

In the very first live session you attend we will explore concepts like:

  • What is resistance to change (from a neuroscience perspective)?

  • What is Unlearning and what specifically do we need to unlearn?

  • Which parts of the brain need to be engaged for change and transformation to be sustainable?

  • What are neuroscience-based skills?

However, only the first session is conceptual so you only need to attend one Starter Session (after that, you'll want to attend Advanced Application/ Discussion Sessions).

Step 3: Pick your  Advanced Application/ Discussion Sessions

Step 4: Pick specific dates to attend live sessions

Once you sign up for the program, you will be able to pick and choose when to attend based on your progress and availability. Dates are updated monthly (add one day for NZ and similar time zones). Upcoming Sessions:
