More and more, science is teaching us that low movement, over consumption of sugar, reduced sleep, and other such habits are influencing our productivity. Our memory, concentration, creativity, all suffer and are diminished while our depressive and anxiety increases - not just momentarily but in physically marked ways (like the shrinking of the hippocampus).


Change can be difficult for much more complex reasons. Whatever we focus on in coaching and change-work, it is important to ask our clients to look at the whole picture. Perhaps we can make a difference by attending to the "basics" and create a foundation to support growth.
